Requests Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim March 2026 as Women's History Month in New York State

Commemorates the 106th anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote

Highlights New York's role in the women's rights movement, beginning with the Seneca Falls Convention of 1848 and New York granting women voting rights in 1917

Recognizes historic figures including Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Blackwell (first U.S. woman to earn a medical degree in 1849), Shirley Chisholm (first Black woman elected to Congress in 1968), and Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor

Notes that women currently hold 50% of New York's statewide elected offices and 34.7% of State Legislature seats
