Andrew Juliano, a senior at Holland Patent High School, won the 2026 NYSPHSAA Division 2 Boys Wrestling Championship at 118 pounds at the MVP Arena in Albany on February 28, 2026

Juliano captured his second state title, having previously won the 101-pound crown as a sophomore with a 37-4 record and 28 pins

He entered the Division 2 tournament as the top seed with a 42-5 record and finished the season at 46-5

Juliano rallied from a 7-2 deficit in the championship match, scoring a three-point takedown and four-point near-fall in the third period to win 9-8 against his Odessa-Montour/Watkins Glen opponent

The resolution recognizes both Juliano and Coach John Richard of the Golden Knights for the achievement
