Senate Resolution honoring Eve Ann Shwartz upon her retirement after 14 years as Town Supervisor of Hamilton, New York, a position she held since her election in 2011

Shwartz earned a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from Northeastern University School of Law in 1982, opening a general law practice in Hamilton after being admitted to the New York State Bar in 1985

Previously served on the Hamilton Town Council (1993-1997), where she headed the Long Range Planning Committee and adopted the town's first Comprehensive Plan

As executive director of the Partnership for Community Development (2002-2006), initiated community festivals, created small business assistance programs, and launched a restoration program renovating 16 buildings and storefronts

Also represented Hamilton on the Madison County Board of Supervisors and served on the Madison County Agricultural Economic Development Committee, New York State Farm Bureau, and Southern Madison County Gas Coalition steering committee
