Colgate Inn LLC purchased the hotel in 1973, and the property has undergone multiple renovations including The Tap Room in 2003, a complete renovation in 2010, lobby and parlor updates in 2018, and guest room refreshes in 2024

The inn serves as a central gathering place for Colgate University families, alumni, faculty, and prospective students, hosting milestone celebrations and providing accommodations for campus visitors

The resolution recognizes the inn's contributions to local and state economies and acknowledges the management and staff for their hospitality over the century of operation
