Congratulates Deborah Hughes on her retirement in December 2025 after 18 years as President and CEO of the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House in Rochester, New York, with a celebration scheduled for February 11, 2026

Hughes served as an ordained minister for 25 years in Presbyterian and American Baptist churches before joining the museum in 2007, and also held positions at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School and the Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board

Under her leadership, the museum achieved financial stability, grew its endowment, cultivated an engaged Board of Trustees, and navigated challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic

Hughes led the "Susan B. Inspires Me!" campaign and spearheaded plans for a 14,000-square-foot interpretive center expansion on Jefferson Avenue, securing a substantial New York State grant with construction set to begin in 2026

The resolution directs that an engrossed copy be transmitted to Deborah Hughes in recognition of her service to the museum, Rochester community, and New York State
