Town of Randolph, New York was created on February 1, 1826 when the New York State Legislature divided the Town of Conewango, with the first town meeting held at Benjamin Clark's house

The resolution commemorates the town's 200th anniversary, to be celebrated at a Bicentennial Celebration on Saturday, March 7, 2026

Initial settlement occurred after the Erie Canal's 1825 completion and Holland Land Company surveys, with approximately 30-40 pioneer families purchasing land from the company

The town's first census in 1830 recorded 135 households and 776 residents; today the population is approximately 2,400 citizens across 1,510 parcels

Located in Cattaraugus County's "Enchanted Mountains" region, the town serves as a gateway to tourism destinations including the New York Amish Trail and Holiday Valley via Interstate 86
