Andrew Juliano, a senior at Holland Patent High School, won the 2026 NYSPHSAA Boys Wrestling Championship in the 118-pound Division 2 category at MVP Arena in Albany on February 28, 2026

Juliano rallied from a 7-2 deficit to win 9-8 against his Odessa-Montour/Watkins Glen opponent with a three-point takedown and four-point near-fall in the third period

This marks Juliano's second state championship; he previously won the 101-pound state crown as a sophomore with a 37-4 record and 28 pins

Juliano entered the Division 2 tournament with a 42-5 record and finished the season at 46-5, competing through recent injuries

The resolution also recognizes Coach John Richard of the Holland Patent Golden Knights for his role in developing Juliano's wrestling abilities
