Increases short-term disability benefits starting January 1, 2027, with weekly benefits rising from 50% to 67% of the employee's average weekly wage over four years, capped at 67% of the state average weekly wage by 2030

Extends family leave benefits to cover six weeks following a stillbirth for leaves taken between January 1, 2026 and January 1, 2030

Expands job protections, including reinstatement rights and health insurance continuation, to apply to both disability leave and family leave (previously applied only to family leave)

Raises the maximum employee contribution for disability benefits from 60 cents per week to $2.20 per week starting January 1, 2027, with future contributions capped at 40% of the average combined employee-employer contributions beginning January 1, 2030

Allows unionized workplaces with collective bargaining agreements in effect on January 1, 2027 to waive the new disability benefit provisions through January 1, 2030, if explicitly agreed to by the labor organization
