Removes the requirement that staff-to-child ratios for child day care facilities cannot be less stringent than the ratios established in state regulations as of January 1, 2000

Gives the Office of Children and Family Services greater flexibility to set appropriate staff/child ratios for family day care homes, group family day care homes, school age day care programs, and day care centers

Maintains all other minimum quality program requirements for licensed and registered child day care, including age-appropriate activities, childhood development principles, supervision levels, and health and safety standards

Takes effect immediately upon passage
