Requires New York City's Board of Education to include provisions in all school bus transportation contracts (K-12) for retention or preference in hiring of school bus workers

Mandates preservation of wages, health, welfare, retirement benefits, and seniority for school bus workers hired under these retention/preference provisions

Defines "school bus worker" as operators, mechanics, dispatchers, or attendants employed as of June 30, 2023 or later by contractors or subcontractors providing NYC school transportation services

Protections apply to workers who were furloughed or became unemployed due to loss of contract or service reductions directed by the Board of Education

Applies to contracts awarded through both competitive bidding and request for proposals processes
