Prohibits aerial and ground application of malathion and pyrethroid-based insecticides within all state, county, and municipal parks and within 100 feet of schools, day care centers, or parks

Applies to all persons, businesses, municipalities, and government entities

Allows emergency exceptions for application of the least toxic pyrethroid pesticide available, as determined by county health departments, state health or environmental conservation commissioners, or school boards for public schools

Emergency applications must be conducted at times minimizing children's exposure, preceded by adequate public notice, and accompanied by appropriate signage

Takes effect 180 days after becoming law; more restrictive standards from pesticide labels or county/local regulations take precedence if applicable
