Towers must clean up spilled oil, coolant, or gas from the roadway at no additional charge; cleanup services must be included in the standard towing fee

Violations may result in civil penalties of $100 to $500 per offense, enforceable by the Attorney General or local municipal attorneys

Municipal employees operating tow trucks are also subject to the same debris cleanup requirements, including removal of safety materials like flares used at the scene
