Defines "on-duty auxiliary police officer" as a member of an auxiliary police program organized by a state or local police department who is acting in that capacity at the time of an incident

Creates new Class C felony of "assault on an on-duty auxiliary police officer" for causing serious physical injury to such officer with intent to prevent them from performing a lawful duty

Establishes new Class D felony of "menacing an on-duty auxiliary police officer" for displaying a deadly weapon to place the officer in fear of injury or death while they perform official duties

Adds new Class D felony for obstructing an on-duty auxiliary police officer by intentionally discharging a self-defense spray device (such as pepper spray) against them

Amends existing assault and menacing statutes to include auxiliary police officers alongside regular police officers, peace officers, and firefighters for enhanced penalty classifications
