Amends Penal Law §70.25 to allow consecutive sentencing when a defendant is convicted of two or more felony counts, including prior felony convictions for sex offenses (Article 130) or sex trafficking (§230.34)

Requires mandatory consecutive sentencing when a defendant is convicted of or has prior convictions for child sexual exploitation offenses (Article 263) or predatory sexual assault charges (§§130.75, 130.80, 130.95, 130.96)

Creates an exception to the current law requiring concurrent sentences for crimes committed through a single act or omission

Takes effect on the first of November following enactment
