Requires social services districts to provide child care assistance under the block grant for additional or different hours than a parent or caretaker actually spends in work, training, or educational activities

Mandates that eligible families can receive full-time child care assistance regardless of the actual hours spent in the qualifying activity

Prohibits social services districts from limiting authorized child care services strictly based on the hours or number of hours a parent is engaged in work, education, or other qualifying activities

Takes effect May 30, 2026
