Defines "microstamped gun" as a firearm equipped with a mechanism that produces a unique alpha-numeric or geometric code on expended cartridge cases identifying the gun's make, model, and serial number

Database must include gun make/model/serial number, dealer and manufacturer information, recipient identity and address, and information on guns discovered by law enforcement

Mandates licensed firearms dealers, manufacturers, and wholesale dealers to report sales and deliveries of microstamped guns to the division for database inclusion

Requires police and peace officer agencies to report discovery of microstamped guns during investigations or arrests; database implementation required within 120 days of any state or federal microstamping mandate taking effect
