Prohibits courts from imposing sentences of intermittent imprisonment for sex offenses under Article 130 of the Penal Law (which covers crimes such as rape, sexual abuse, and other sexual offenses)

Adds a new restriction to the existing criteria for when intermittent imprisonment may be authorized as a sentencing option

Intermittent imprisonment allows offenders to serve sentences during specific periods (such as weekends) rather than continuously

Current law already limits intermittent imprisonment to Class D or E felonies or non-felonies, first-time offenders, and those not serving other prison sentences exceeding 15 days

Takes effect on the first of November following enactment
