Requires the director of the Office for the Aging, working with the State Board of Pharmacy and Department of Health, to create and publish a drug guide for people over age 62

Guide must explain the purpose, function, and common drug interactions of medications commonly used by seniors, including effects of combining medications with alcohol

Must include a prominent warning in at least 14-point type on the first page advising readers not to alter medications without consulting a healthcare practitioner

Guide must be available free online and through designated agencies, and translated into the six most common non-English languages spoken by limited English proficiency individuals in New York

Requests for more than ten copies will be subject to a reasonable charge for reproduction and handling; guide must be updated as needed for accuracy

Takes effect on the first of September following enactment
