Study must examine construction costs, operational costs three years post-completion, and potential cost savings from the micro-grid

Study must assess the potential effects of a micro-grid on reducing stress on current electrical systems

NYSERDA must report findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the governor and legislature within 13 months of the act taking effect

Report must include any legislative proposals necessary to implement the study's recommendations
