Directs the task force to review existing school bus safety laws, examine vehicle sensor technology applications, identify best practices for bus stop designation, and develop protocols for drivers and aides

Mandates study of pedestrian safety for students walking to school and bus stops, strategies to curb illegal passing of school buses, and potential public education programs

Requires a final report with findings and recommendations within 18 months to the governor and legislative leaders; the act expires 24 months after becoming law
