Exempts newly elected or appointed coroners and coroner's deputies from continuing education requirements for one year following their initial election or appointment

Prohibits coroners and coroner's deputies who fail to meet continuing education requirements from practicing until they obtain a certificate of completion from the Department of Health

Allows the Department of Health to grant adjustments to education requirements for health reasons, extended military active duty, or other good cause

Assigns the New York State Association of County Coroners and Medical Examiners to maintain compliance records and notify individuals and counties of non-compliance
