Payment for anesthesia services must follow prevailing medical coding standards including AMA procedural terminology codes, Medicare Claims Processing Manual, and American Society of Anesthesiologists guidance

Anesthesia time units must be calculated in intervals of no more than 15 minutes each, with the total adding up to the full duration of anesthesia time provided
