Youth leaving court-ordered placements under Family Court Act sections 353.3 or 353.5 will be automatically presumed eligible for Medicaid starting on their release date

Presumptive eligibility continues until a formal Medicaid eligibility determination is made, or 60 days from release if no application is filed

Medical care, services, and supplies provided during the presumptive eligibility period by Medicaid-eligible providers qualify for payment and state reimbursement

The bill takes effect 90 days after becoming law, with immediate authorization for agencies to develop implementing regulations
