Local officials and community boards must receive copies of closure notices and may convene meetings within 45 days to examine community impact and recommend approval, modification, or rejection of the closure

Prohibits operators from increasing fees, instituting new charges, or accepting new residents (unless notified of closure) after filing closure notice and before plan approval

Mandates plans for medical record storage and transfer, arrangements for continued resident care 60 days before closure, and public posting of all closure plans on the department's website
