Expands wrongful death damages beyond "pecuniary injuries" to include grief or anguish, loss of companionship, loss of nurture/guidance/counsel/advice/training/education, and loss of services/support/inheritance

Extends the statute of limitations for wrongful death actions from two years to three years after the decedent's death

Broadens who may benefit from wrongful death damages to include the decedent's spouse or domestic partner, distributees, persons standing in loco parentis to the decedent, and persons to whom the decedent stood in loco parentis

Removes the requirement that a decedent must be "survived by distributees" for a wrongful death action to be maintained

Applies retroactively to all causes of action that accrued on or after January 1, 2022
