Requires the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities to create and maintain a registry of direct support professional workers who have completed approved education or training programs, including those accredited by other states, federal authorities, or the military

Workers are automatically enrolled upon completing an approved training program but may opt out; enrollment is denied for workers found to have engaged in abuse or serious neglect of patients or consumers

Registry must include worker information such as full name, address, gender, date of birth, contact information, completed training programs, and employment history with provider entities

No fees may be charged to workers for registration or removal from the registry

Access to registry information is limited to the workers themselves, provider entities verifying current or prospective employees, and individuals enrolled in self-direction programs; takes effect June 1, 2026
