Requires the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council to update New York's uniform fire prevention and building code within 18 months whenever revised editions of international codes are published, including the International Building Code, International Fire Code, International Residential Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Existing Building Code, International Property Maintenance Code, and National Electrical Code

Mandates updates to the state energy conservation construction code within 18 months of publication of revised editions of the International Energy Conservation Code and ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1

Aligns the state energy conservation code with the policies of the 2019 New York State Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act

Requires the council to update any codes not currently reflecting the latest international code revisions within 18 months of the bill's effective date

Takes effect immediately upon passage
