Requires insurance policies that cover prostheses to also cover cranial prostheses (wigs or hairpieces) for individuals experiencing permanent or temporary medical hair loss

Coverage applies when a licensed provider prescribes the cranial prosthesis for treatment of conditions including alopecia areata, alopecia medicamentosa, scarring alopecia, and lupus

Limits coverage to $750 per instance, with coverage available no more than once every twelve months per person

Applies to individual policies, group/blanket policies, and contracts from hospital service corporations, health service corporations, and medical expense indemnity funds

Takes effect immediately and applies to policies issued, delivered, renewed, or modified after the effective date
