Adds election officers (as defined in Election Law section 1-104) to the list of protected workers under assault in the second degree, making it a class D felony to intentionally cause physical injury to an election officer performing assigned duties

Amends the obstruction of governmental administration statute to explicitly include election officers among public servants protected from intimidation, physical force, or interference while performing official functions

Creates a new aggravated harassment offense (subdivision 3-b of section 240.30) for striking, shoving, kicking, or subjecting an election officer to physical contact with intent to harass, annoy, threaten, or alarm while performing official duties

Places election officers in the same protected category as transit workers, emergency medical personnel, nurses, prosecutors, and sanitation workers for assault charges
