Adds any misdemeanor or felony offense involving the use or possession of a firearm, shotgun, or rifle to the list of bail-eligible offenses in New York

Amends Criminal Procedure Law sections 510.10, 530.20, and 530.40 to expand qualifying offenses where courts may set bail rather than requiring release

Currently, New York's bail reform limits bail to specific qualifying offenses; this bill broadens that list to include all firearm, shotgun, or rifle-related charges

Applies to both misdemeanor and felony-level weapons offenses, regardless of whether they involve harm to persons or property

Takes effect immediately upon passage
