Maintains existing exemption amounts for other regions: $125,000 for Dutchess, Albany, Columbia, Orange, Saratoga, and Ulster counties; $75,000 for all remaining New York counties

Protects principal residences including single-family homes, cooperative apartment shares, condominium units, and mobile homes from seizure to satisfy money judgments up to the exemption amount

Allows judgment creditors to initiate special proceedings to sell homesteads exceeding the exemption threshold, with proceeds marshaled to protect the debtor's exempt portion

Updates gendered language in the statute to gender-neutral terms (e.g., "his" to "such person's" or "such judgment debtor's")
