Mandates care managers complete the training before working with clients, covering person-centered planning, effective communication strategies, and cultural competence

Requires training on the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities, including voting rights, as well as advocacy skills and legal compliance

Includes instruction on navigating the healthcare system, self-direction systems, Medicaid waiver programs, and services available through state and federal agencies

Takes effect 180 days after becoming law, with immediate authorization to develop necessary rules and regulations for implementation
