Updates the name of the Bohemia Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Association to "Bohemia Volunteer Firefighter's Benevolent Association" and replaces gendered terms like "firemen" and "fireman" with "firefighter" throughout the law

Expands the board of trustees from 5 members to 8 members, increasing the number of trustees (beyond officers) from 1 to 4

Updates statutory references to insurance law sections governing foreign fire insurance premium taxes, changing citations from sections 553 and 554 to sections 9104 and 9105

Broadens the permitted use of collected foreign fire insurance premium taxes from specifically "care and relief of disabled or indigent volunteer and exempt volunteer firemen and their families" to general use "in furtherance of its purposes" as defined in section three of the original 1963 act

Tax-related amendments take effect for premiums received on and after January 1, 2026
