Authorizes Sergeant Bethany Kidd of the Seneca Falls Police Department to transfer from the section 375-i retirement plan to the more favorable 20-year retirement plan under section 384-d of the Retirement and Social Security Law

Kidd was appointed as a police officer on February 4, 2014 and was enrolled in the wrong retirement plan through no fault of her own

Requires the Town of Seneca Falls to file a resolution with the state comptroller within 180 days electing to assume the additional costs, along with certification that the officer was not negligent

Kidd must file a request with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date to receive coverage under the 20-year plan

Past service costs of approximately $230,000 will be borne by the Town of Seneca Falls, payable as a lump sum or amortized over 10 years at $29,300 annually, plus an estimated $14,000 increase in annual contributions
