Allows courts to order the Division of Criminal Justice Services to compare fingerprints obtained during a defendant's investigation or prosecution against the statewide automated fingerprint identification system and the national integrated automated fingerprint identification system

Fingerprints must comply with FBI or state requirements applicable to law enforcement agencies seeking such comparisons

Court must determine there is a reasonable probability that if the fingerprint comparison results had been admitted at trial, the verdict would have been more favorable to the defendant

In guilty plea cases, court must find a reasonable probability that the conviction would not have resulted if the comparison results had been available to the defendant before the plea

Amends Criminal Procedure Law Section 440.30 (governing post-conviction motions) and takes effect immediately
