Expands second degree assault (a felony) to cover intentional physical injury to motor vehicle license examiners, motor vehicle representatives, highway workers, motor carrier investigators, and motor vehicle inspectors while performing their duties

Defines "highway worker" as any person employed by the state, county, city, town, village, public authority, utility company, or contractor assigned to perform work on highways or within highway rights of way, including construction, maintenance, flagging, and utility installation

Defines "motor carrier investigator" as a Department of Transportation employee assigned to investigate regulated motor carriers

Defines "motor vehicle inspector" as a Department of Transportation employee assigned to inspect regulated motor vehicles

Expands covered infrastructure to include roadways, walkways, tunnels, bridges, tolling facilities, and their supporting systems, buildings, or structures; takes effect 90 days after becoming law
