Amends Education Law section 3627 to modify transportation aid calculations for school districts providing transportation after 4:00 PM

For the 2025-2026 school year and thereafter, transportation aid will be calculated using a formula based on the maximum aid from the base year multiplied by an inflation adjustment (2.5 times the percentage increase in the consumer price index)

The 2024-2025 school year aid cap is set at $29,850,000 plus the base amount from the 2012-2013 school year

Requires school districts to annually expend at least the amount used for the base year, including increases in the reimbursable transportation cost per student

Takes effect July 1, 2025, with amendments coordinated with related provisions in the 2025 state budget legislation
