Redirects Essex County hotel/motel tax revenues from a dedicated tourism development and promotion fund to the county's general fund, giving the county legislature discretion over allocation for economic development and tourism promotion

Increases the maximum percentage of tax revenue the county may retain for administrative expenses from 5% to 10%

Removes the requirement that Essex County contract with the Lake Placid-Essex County Visitors Bureau for expenditure of tourism tax revenues

Eliminates the mandate that revenues be spent proportionally to publicize areas based on how much revenue each area generates

Requires remaining revenue after administrative costs to be used for enhancing the general economy, economic development, and tourism promotion throughout Essex County's cities, towns, and villages
