First offense for fraudulent motor vehicle document trafficking is a Class E felony with up to one year imprisonment and minimum $500 fine

Second offense within ten years elevates to Class D felony with 1-3 years imprisonment, minimum $1,000 fine, and driver's license suspension of at least one year

Persons with suspended or revoked licenses who use fraudulent number plates face Class D felony charges with 1-3 years imprisonment, minimum $1,500 fine, and 2-4 year extension of license suspension

Adds enhanced penalties for second violations of certain number plate offenses within ten years, including minimum $500 fine and six-month license suspension
