Extends variable supplements fund benefits to all New York City police officers, firefighters, housing police, transit police, and correction officers who were previously ineligible for these payments

Grants eligibility to disabled officers, line of duty surviving spouses, and registered domestic partners who receive benefits from their respective pension funds

Applies to retirees receiving benefits from the NYC Police Pension Fund, NYC Fire Department Pension Fund, and NYC Employees' Retirement System

Protects current beneficiaries by prohibiting any reduction in variable supplement payments to those already eligible prior to the law's effective date

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
