Prohibits "artificial persons" (corporations, LLCs, nonprofits, partnerships, trusts, and foreign entities doing business in New York) from engaging in election activity or ballot-issue activity, defined as spending money or anything of value to support or oppose candidates, parties, political committees, ballot questions, or initiatives

Revokes all previously granted corporate powers and re-grants only those necessary for lawful business or charitable purposes, explicitly excluding any power to engage in political spending

Exempts registered political committees under state or federal law, allowing them to engage in election and ballot-issue activities provided they exist solely for that purpose and claim no charter privileges beyond limited liability

Imposes automatic forfeiture of all charter privileges (limited liability, perpetual duration, tax benefits) on any artificial person that engages in prohibited election or ballot-issue activity, with civil enforcement available to shareholders, members, or the Attorney General

Exempts bona fide news stories, commentary, and editorials from media outlets unless those outlets are owned or controlled by a political party, committee, or candidate

Takes effect 30 days after becoming law, with procedures for reinstatement and civil actions to be established within one year
