Authorizes local health officers to directly request copies of death-related reports and records, including autopsy and toxicology reports, for official health district purposes without needing designation from the state commissioner of health

Allows local health officers to request records when a death occurs within their jurisdiction, or when a decedent was a resident of their district and sustained injury/exposure there, received significant medical care there, or was pronounced dead/found there

Requires coroners, coroner's physicians, or medical examiners to provide requested records within 3 days of completion for deaths within the requesting officer's district, or within 7 days for deaths outside their district

Mandates local health officers maintain a log of all out-of-district records requests and notify the local health officer of the district from which records were requested within 3 business days

Takes effect on the same date as the related 2025 law (S.7818/A.7411) permitting the commissioner of health to designate local health officials for similar purposes
