Requires nursing home operators to provide residents and their designated representatives with a written notice at admission about the option to hire an attorney for Medicaid application assistance

Notice must be separate from the admission agreement, printed in at least 12-point legible type, and acknowledged by the resident and representative

Notice must warn that non-legal agencies (including hospital and nursing home affiliates) cannot give legal advice, may have conflicts of interest, and that relying on them could expose families to financial risk

Requires nursing homes to prominently display the notice in the facility and make copies available when providing residency agreements

Takes effect 90 days after becoming law
