Creates the Sickle Cell Anemia Advisory Committee to assist the Director of Health with duties under section 3701.131 of the Revised Code.

Director of Health appoints five committee members familiar with sickle cell anemia, including researchers, health care professionals, and persons personally affected by the disease.

Initial appointments must be made within 90 days, with staggered terms of one, two, and three years; thereafter, all terms are three years and members may be reappointed.

Committee members serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in performing their duties.

Committee annually selects a chairperson from its members and must meet at least twice each year, with a majority constituting a quorum.
