Requires the Ohio Department of Health to provide downloadable, standardized publications on umbilical cord blood banking for health care professionals to share with pregnant women before the third trimester

Publications must include information on collection processes, medical risks, available options (discard, donate to public bank, private storage, or family donor banking), current and potential medical uses, and costs

Defines "health care institution" as hospitals or freestanding birthing centers and "health care professional" as physicians, registered nurses including certified nurse-midwives, and physician assistants

Protects health care professionals and institutions from civil liability, criminal prosecution, and disciplinary action when acting in good faith to provide cord blood banking information under this statute

Department of Health may update publications as needed
