• Prohibits health insuring corporations from limiting or excluding coverage for FDA-approved prescription contraceptive drugs and devices if the policy covers other prescription drugs or devices

• Prohibits health insuring corporations from limiting or excluding coverage for physician-directed outpatient services related to contraceptive provision if the policy covers other outpatient services

• Prohibits sickness and accident insurance policies and public employee benefit plans from limiting or excluding coverage for FDA-approved prescription contraceptive drugs, devices, and related outpatient services if the policy covers other prescription drugs or outpatient services

• Requires contraceptive coverage to be subject to the same terms and conditions, including copayments and deductibles, as other similar coverage under the policy or plan

• Applies to policies delivered, issued, or renewed on or after the effective date of the act, and to public employee benefit plans established or modified on or after the effective date
