Extends heartfelt condolences from the Ohio House of Representatives to the family and friends of Erich Kunzel upon his death.

Recognizes Kunzel's 44 years of artistic leadership as founder and conductor emeritus of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, beginning as associate conductor in 1965 and founding the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra in 1977 where he recorded over 85 albums.

Honors his national and international tours, including a 2005 tour to China with the Cincinnati Pops (the first pops orchestra appearance in that country) and the first pops concert in China in 1998 with the China National Symphony Orchestra.

Acknowledges his numerous accolades including the 2006 National Medal of Arts, 1991 Governor's Award for the Arts in Ohio, 2008 induction into the American Classical Music Hall of Fame, and Billboard Magazine's Classical Crossover Artist of the Year for four consecutive years.

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Kunzel's family.
