Honors Ronda Hartman Fergus for her service as a commissioner with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

Fergus joined the Public Utilities Commission staff in 1980 as an attorney and served as administrative law judge and chief of telecommunications staff before being appointed commissioner in 1995 and reappointed in 2000, 2005, and 2007.

She was instrumental in developing competitive electric, natural gas, and telecommunications markets in Ohio and served on state and national task forces for e-commerce, broadband, emergency 9-1-1, and local telephone competition.

The House of Representatives commends Fergus on her exemplary service and recognizes her as one of Ohio's finest citizens.
