Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame, established in 1978, recognizes exemplary contributions of older adults; 2009 inductees include Frank Ashton, Omer Blodgett, Barbara Condo, Jean Palmer, Glenn Devers, Jacob Frowine, Mary Jane Hawk, Martha Pemberton, Edna D. Pincham, the late Clarence Reich, the late John Schoedinger, Daisy Smith, and William Wynne.

Elder Caregiving Awards, established in 1993, recognize individuals committed to providing personal care to family members, friends, and neighbors; 2009 recipients include Camilla Bennett, Leroy Carbaugh, Anita Chambers, Donald "Boze" Fasig, Joyce Henning, Norma Lusk, Lois Maier, Margaret May, Neisel Palmer, Karen Prouty, Patty Snyder, Donna Sullivan, and Gary, Joy, and Faith Ferkel.

House of Representatives commends all 2009 honorees for outstanding achievement and their positive impact on their communities.

Clerk of the House transmits authenticated copies of the resolution to the Ohio Department of Aging and Ohio news media.
