Amends section 4717.27 of the Revised Code to expand the definition of entities responsible for unclaimed cremated remains to include funeral homes, not just crematory facility operators.

Requires crematory facilities or funeral homes to notify the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs before disposing of unclaimed cremated remains of decedents who were 18 years or older at time of death.

Directs crematory facilities or funeral homes to arrange burial in a national cemetery at federal expense if the Secretary of Veterans Affairs confirms the decedent was an eligible veteran and agrees to cover transportation and burial costs within 60 days of notification.

Permits crematory facilities or funeral homes to proceed with standard disposition procedures if the Secretary of Veterans Affairs does not assume direction of burial within 60 days of notification.

Makes the authorizing agent liable for the reasonable cost of final disposition if the Secretary does not assume responsibility for burial.
